Iron Cardio: When To Increase Difficulty

An Iron Cardio workout has many possible variations:
  • Classic (Clean + Press + Squat)
  • Classic + Snatch
  • Classic + Snatch + Pullup/Chinup
  • Classic + Pullup/Chinup
  • Traveling 2s
  • Weight Ladder
  • and many more...
One question that came up after rereading the manual several times is how do you know when to increase the difficulty? Brett Jones posted this response. If I understand his post correctly, he said that for a given number of minutes practicing Iron Cardio, if you did double the number of minutes in sets, you're ready to increase difficulty for that particular variation. So if you did 40 sets in 20 min. you can increase difficulty. Difficulty can be increased by increasing the load, switching to a more difficult variation, etc.
